Jincheon is located 127 degrees east longitude and 36 degrees north latitude. Located in the central part of Chungcheongbuk-do, Jincheon is a landlocked city with Jungbu Express highway passing through the middle, and within a 40km radius are the cities of Cheongju, Eumseong, Geosan and Cheonan . In keeping with its original name of “SaengGeo Jincheon”, Jincheon is a heavily mountainous area with the Charyeong mountain range running from the north to south. Mihocheon stream, the upper region of the Gumgang River, begins at Gwanghyewon-myeon and Baekgok-myeon and runs through the extensive plains in the south, which forms a fertile granary in the southern part of Jincheon.
